WinNT Service Launcher
Service Launcher is a simple and easy-to-use utility that allows to
launch and control the service application from the system tray.
On Windows NT-based operating systems (NT/2000/XP/2003) NT Services are special
executables run by the system. These range from device drivers running in the
background through to interactive applications. Windows 9x/Me does not support
'real' services.
Each service controlled by means of the
Service Launcher may have it's own custom tray icon with a simple context menu
presented above. Clicking Run item starts the service configured.
Stop, Pause and Resume items perform other basic
service control actions. Properties... menu item opens
a Properties dialog box presented below.
Clicking About... opens a dialog box with Service Launcher
version information and copyright notice. Finally, Exit
menu item allows to exit the corresponding launcher instance.
